These two came out to Arizona from the Pacific Northwest for this gorgeous sunset Scottsdale desert maternity session. We had everything – saguaros, boulders, and a perfect golden sunset. It is one of my absolute favorite places to photograph growing families!
This shoot took place in March. Typically, that means great weather and sunny skies in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area. As predicted, we had pleasant weather. Also, we were lucky enough to have this location pretty much to ourselves. This mama-to-be brought her turquoise dress specifically for her shoot after purchasing it a while back in Tulum, Mexico. The flowy airy style was just perfect for a desert shoot. I often recommend slightly sheer fabrics for my maternity clients. This one caught the light beautifully!

A Scottsdale desert maternity session is a great way to see the beauty of Arizona. It’s also one of the best spots to get those legendary saguaro cacti in your photos! Scottsdale is a must-visit area if you’re coming from out of town. It’s also great if you’re from the area and just want to get away a little bit.
