This Arizona elopement at Tempe Buttes was a perfect example of an elopement that included the bride and groom’s close family and friends. K and F wanted a small intimate ceremony that would still be accessible for their guests.
Because of the additional guests, these two decided that a venue where chairs could be set up would probably work best for them. They had their ceremony at the Marriott Tempe Resort at the Buttes. It was the perfect combination of a beautiful secluded ceremony area and some really unique desert landscape surrounding the hotel.
K and F still were able to take photos with their closest friends without having a formal bridal party. It’s a great way to incorporate those special people in your elopement!
After the ceremony and the family photos, I took the couple up a tiny hiking trail behind the hotel. I had scoped out the area the day before, just to get a lay of the land. I was so excited to come across this perfect desert area. Both of them were completely fine with a little post-ceremony hike in their wedding gear! And the sunset views definitely made it worth it!
After the ceremony and bride and groom photos, rather than opting for a more traditional formal reception, the whole family had an awesome dinner in the restaurant at the top of the hotel.
I loved that K and F combined everything they wanted for this Arizona Elopement at Tempe Buttes. It was an intimate little mountaintop elopement, but it was also easy and convenient for their small guest list. Elopement or intimate wedding – there are plenty of unexpected venues and options to make your day just how you are envisioning.
And in case you were drooling over that stunning bouquet and florals on the wedding arch, the flowers were done by The Floral Theory. She does awesome work in Arizona and the southwest.
