Wedding at the Boulders Resort

M + J had a stunning spring wedding at the Boulders Resort and Spa in Carefree, Arizona. This venue is one of my favorites for so many reasons. The scenery, the views, the sense of being tucked away amongst the rock formations, it’s a great place for a ceremony.

Pre Ceremony

The bride got ready at a villa on the property, and we had a great time capturing the gorgeous details and bridesmaids getting ready. The gents got ready in a separate suite on the property, complete with a whiskey toast!

This bridal party…. can we just appreciate? I loved the slightly mismatched yet similar toned bridesmaids dresses, and the guys looked fresh in their tuxes! We took bridal party and family photos before the ceremony also. This saves time for bride and groom portraits after! And the couple was able to enjoy their cocktail hour for a bit before I stole them away.

Ceremony

This ceremony space is in the coolest little area, surrounded by boulders (ahem, hence the name of the resort). It is away just far enough from the rest of the resort to have your own little private area. Vows were said, tears were shed!

Bride and Groom

Another reason I love this venue – the options for bride and groom portraits are boundless. There are really unique hiking trails right in the resort. These two were down to climb around with me on some of those famous boulders to get their epic sunset photos.
