We lucked out with perfect weather for this sunset Phoenix, Arizona engagement session. First, we wandered out to one of my favorite spots just outside of Phoenix to get out into that desert scenery.
W + J trusted me to pick the location, and were willing to hike up the mountain at sunset for those perfect views. I very often get asked how I get couples comfortable in front of the camera. Starting out with some movement is a really helpful way to relax and allow a couple to have some fun.
The bride-to-be opted for a gorgeous partially sheer flowing dress that caught the light just right.
As per usual, we got out into the scenery and had some fun. My bad jokes are thing of beauty. If you come out to a session with me, you can be sure to hear some real winners.
W + J are having a spring wedding, so a late summer engagement session was perfect timing for them. Yes, it was a little bit hot outside, but you wouldn’t know from looking at their photos.
Arizona always delivers on that beautiful golden sunset light, which makes it an amazing place to take engagement photos.
W + J completely trusted my vision. I have been very fortunate as an artist to be able to work with couples who are up for anything and encourage my creativity.
It was actually monsoon season in Arizona during these photos, so we were lucky to get a day where did it didn’t rain in the afternoon. However, the crazy weather made for a really beautiful sunset.
The in-between moments always end up being some of my favorites.
We ended the night with a ridiculously stunning sunset, courtesy of the rainy monsoon weather. It doesn’t always happen, but when it does, it makes for some pretty epic photographs.
